Startup Tumult has released it's first product, Hype. It's a simple tool to create animations in the HTML5 format. Hype is a keyframe based tool; the user can just drag and drop images, videos and texts into the frames. This tool will be considered as a replacement for Flash developers who'd want to build animations for iPhones and iPads.
Tumult is a venture by two ex Apple employees, Jonathan Deutsch and Ryan Nielsen. Deutsch said “It’s pretty clear that HTML5 is the future of the web. It will, of course, run not only on desktop machines but also runs really well on any modern smartphone or tablet like the iPad. The problem is that there are no good designer apps for creating animated HTML5 like there are for Flash.” Speaking about Hype he said “We made an intuitive recording interface, so you don’t have laboriously layout each individual keyframe. You can just hit record, move your objects and go. It’s really easy to make some powerful, beautiful animations.”
If you want to buy the app, $29.99 is what you need to shell out. Download it from the Mac App Store by clicking below.
